Providence Animal Center is happy to provide a variety of behavior and training services as well as informational resources for pet owners to help you and your pooch maintain a wonderful relationship.
Group Training Classes
Providence Animal Center offers puppy classes for puppies aged 6-25 weeks. Proof of age-appropriate vaccinations is required. In this class, your puppy will play with other puppies and you will learn about puppy behavior and training. Classes are held either Tuesday or Friday evenings from 6-7pm or Saturday mornings from 11am-12pm at Providence Animal Center. Class fee is $125 payable to Providence Animal Center. Please email Dayna or call 610-566-1370 x 229 to schedule your puppy for socialization class.
Basic Obedience Training
- Michelle Frumento, CPDT-KSA, CNWI, of Your Mannerly Mutt, Inc., hosts an intimate class with force-free, positive methods. Skills learned in this 4-week class include basic commands and loose-leash walking. Classes are held on Wednesdays from 12-1pm at Providence Animal Center, in Media. To sign up, contact Dayna Villa at 610-566-1370 x 229 or email Dayna. Dogs must be at least 6 months old. Pricing is $100 and payable to Providence Animal Center.
- Debbie DeSantis, CPDT, of Going to the Dogs Obedience Training, hosts a 6-week basic obedience class. Classes are held on Monday evenings from 6-7pm or 7-8pm at Christ United Methodist Church, inside Fellowship Hall, located at 2900 Springfield Road in Broomall. For registration, call or email trainer Debbie at 610-344-7799. 10% of the $140 class fee is donated back to Providence Animal Center.
Canine Good Citizen Training
Debbie DeSantis, CPDT, of Going to the Dogs Obedience Training, hosts an 8-week Canine Good Citizen training course, test included. Classes are held on Monday evenings from 8-9pm at Christ United Methodist Church, inside Fellowship Hall, located at 2900 Springfield Road in Broomall. For registration, call or email trainer Debbie at 610-344-7799. 10% of the $200 class fee is donated back to Providence Animal Center.

PLEASE NOTE: For safety purposes, we do not permit the use of retractable leashes, prong collars and shock collars for any dog on our campus, including those taking part in our low-cost behavior services.
