At a recent volunteer and foster meeting, our organization shared some exciting news about our kennel reconstruction project: a generous donor is willing to match all donations given or received by volunteers or fosters up to $25,000, and, if this challenge is met, the forthcoming large dog meet-and-greet area will be named after the 2018-2019 Providence Animal Center Volunteers & Fosters!
So how do fosters and volunteers make this happen? As a village, of course! Our organization wants fosters and volunteers to reach out to their network of friends and family and share the kennel updates and ask for support. An easy way to do this is by creating your own fundraising page through the safe and secure Firstgiving page. Click here to get started. Of course, fosters and volunteers are happy to accept donations the old fashioned way! One volunteer had a great idea to put a donation jar in her workplace. We can definitely accommodate that. If fosters and volunteers have considered personally giving, now is a great time to do so, knowing it will be matched!
GOOD NEWS: One longtime volunteer and foster has already stepped up to the plate with a $10,000 gift. How amazing is that! That means, together, we need to raise $15,000 to achieve the match and naming opportunity. Consider this: if 200 volunteers and fosters raised $75 through their networks, fosters and volunteers would reach their goal! Simple enough, right? With an all-heart mission like ours, fosters and volunteers have so much faith that this can be achieved.
The match challenge will be ongoing as long as the kennel project, through September of 2019. Our kennel rebuild timeline will happen in two phases – now through December, and then break for January and February, and will pick up again in March and aim for completion in September.
